The location is great to walk to the Queen Emma bridge and go shopping on that side or stay on this side and shop at the mall in the fort. The food was good at all venues on the property. The infinity pool with the sand bottom was amazing. The ocean view room had beds that were comfortable and the room was serviced twice daily by housekeeping. The bellmen are great at helping you get taxi service when you need it.
I have stayed at this location three times in the past decade. The following statements note things that were different from any of my past stays. I was pretty disappointed because I am remembering the other stays that I had which were fantastic. The room had a horrible odor when we first entered. The bellman got someone from housekeeping to bring and spray Lysol in the room. The odor was not so bad after you were in the room for a while but was awful every time you entered the room. Drinks were very watery at most of the hotel venues with the exception of one bartender who seemed to be very skilled with the appropriate amounts to mix. Some of the staff (in all areas of the hotel) seem to have difficulty with understanding and speaking English.

The localization, very beautiful .
The check-in service was terrible. I waited half an hour in line and my room was not ready.
There is no proper structure for breakfast. They prioritize people arriving from the cruise ships, and if you are a hotel guest you have to wait in line just to get a seat. And on top of that, they still charge a service fee.
Very disappointing experience.
