We really enjoyed our stay at Salthill Hotel. The location was excellent, right on the seafront and ideal for walking along the promenade and exploring Salthill. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view, and the beds were particularly comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed being so close to Ladies Beach and the beautiful Galway Bay coastline.
The main downside was the Wi-Fi, which was quite poor and unreliable. This wasn’t ideal as we wanted to research and book day trips during our stay.

Atmosphere and decoration of the hotel was beautiful and staff were attentive and friendly.
Would have appreciated an information leaflet/booklet in the room with further information on the hotel facilities etc. in addition to the short leaflet on ordering breakfast. (Don't always want to have to look things up on mobile phone which may not be charged yet also screen is small so I would prefer to have a page or leaflet to read from.)

Breakfast was fine
Dark room. The view from the window was a wall. There were bedside light but neither had bulbs in them. After returning to the room after a long day out the room had not been serviced. Not sure if we were in an old part of the hotel but the lift and corridors were a little tired.
On a positive note the hotel room was very clean and the staff were very nice.
