A return stay after 2 years; after arriving on the Red Funnel Ferry (foot passenger), a short sail on the chain ferry and a walk to the town this is in an ideal location- or next door if arriving on the Red Jet! This time my room was overlooking the Red Jet terminal with a lovely view. Having stayed in more street facing rooms which (kind of expectedly) could be louder at night, this wasn't too bad considering. The room was clean & tidy but could do with a decor/paint freshen up- good tv, hairdryer did it's best & helpful kettle/teas/coffees. Room was checked & refreshed every day which was nice also. All the staff were helpful & I felt comfortable being here as a solo traveller. As the weather wasn't great I did dine in on one night, meal was ok but better places on the high-street for similar prices. Ideal location to walk along the beach or to go to other parts of the island. For the price, location & ease of getting there it does what I need!
These aren't negatives, just things I would note:
- a few sets of stairs & no lift, not an issue for myself but could be for others
- given the central location/room placement it can be noisy in the evening, especially popular going out nights if not used to similar environments
- not sure how/where parking would work

great location ,no parking so allow ÂŁ45 for this up the road for 5 days, 5min walk
rooms are tired & carpet flat & need painting & staff are very helpful , if your booking don’t stay in room 15 as it’s over the kitchen & the noise was unbearable throu the 1st night but they did move us to room 2 for the rest of our visit 👏thanks for that ,
apart from that breakfast10/10
