The location and the different amenities of the hotel plus the staff 👌. Their breakfast buffet was also exceptional with tons of options. we also loved their African day where they serve African cuisine and it was so good. I remember chatting to another guest from German who narrated how he loved the concept of African day/night at the hotel with African cuisine and music all at display. Furthermore, their guest relations manager was so kind and made sure everyone feels respected and welcome. Their gym is also 10/10 with outdoor feel and barefoot policy. it made the whole experience feel relaxing and it reminded us that we are on holiday and we need to enjoy nature. The housekeeping was also timely and fresh linen everyday. All in all, Temple Point resort met our expectations and i highly recommend it and it take my word for it because I've slept in over 120 hotels and resorts across the world and Temple Point makes it in my top 20.
nothing just that I find their activities so expensive especially in winter season where the weather is mostly not ideal. for example, snorkeling at $45 is a bit expensive especially in winter. we did the snorkeling but the weather conditions were not ideal at all.

We had a lovely stay at Temple Point Resort. We received a warm welcome with a refreshing cold towel and coconut water. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, always smiling and willing to help. I can’t mention individual names because everyone we came across was lovely.
The resort is beautiful and peaceful. Everything was very tidy and well maintained. There are two lovely pools, although we mostly used the smaller one closer to our room. The beach was beautiful with beds to relax on, and we also enjoyed the lovely view at the LichtHaus. Ww enjoyed using the Gym and we enjoyed the breakfast as well.
Overall, we had a beautiful and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend Temple Point Resort.
I loved everything about the resort

The staff at the reception are very friendly and kind
They offered me deep heat when I had pain
The lichthaus security was rude and kept on insisting that we are going to the private property despite trying to explain and show our room key
His approach was very disrespectful

Private beach in a marine park. The aesthetics were also nice (ie. building design, etc.). Found monkeys laying on our outdoor couch, which for us was a positive thing. Food at the restaurant was better tasting than expected.
We only ate at the resort and their partner restaurant Lichtaus - and my wife got food poisoning. We’ve lived in Kenya for nearly a year and it’s her first time getting food poisoning.
Also, very HOT when dining or at reception. They should put fans in the main lobby, lounge and dining area. Since it is creek side and not ocean side, there is no ocean breeze, so they really need fans. There are ACs in rooms but they could use better maintenance. They also turn off each time there’s even a brief power cut, which happens 1-2 times daily. It then takes a while for the room to cool down again.
Both beach bar and pool bar were not open. You have to get your own drink from the main restaurant which is a good distance walk away from the beach, especially in the heat. You also can’t have food by the beach. The pool is quite warm so not refreshing to swim in. At peak times they could also benefit from some additional beach lounge chairs to deploy, since they fill up and then you can’t benefit from what is arguably the most attractive part of the resort - the beach.
They also did not do cleaning service twice in our rooms - one time we had to go ask very late in the day for it to be done and the other time we didn’t bother.
