Check-in was self-service, via back door key in key safe. Excellent communication beforehand by owner/manager explaining procedures. Continental breakfast was also self service. I only met the staff/manager because I arrived early to leave my cases and he was on the premises preparing the rooms. Very friendly and helpful.
It felt a bit impersonal but was perfectly efficient and convenient. Tea and coffee supplies in the room a bit sparse, but I was able to get more teabags from the breakfast room.

Great location for a stay whilst doing the Thames Path walk. Easy self serve check in and continental breakfast available the next morning before we set off. Tea/coffee facilities in the room.

There was an old world charm.
Entering the property was complicated. The bedroom carpet and bathrooms were old and need renovating. While difficult for the property manager to control, the person sleeping downstairs from me snored so loud I had to put the fan on to sleep and had a very poor night sleep.
