The hotel is located on a farm and looks off putting when you arrive, however it is just lovely. The rooms are big and very comfortable, there is no coffee or kettle in the room, however there is free tea and coffee available in the bar 24hrs a day. The food was amazing and home cooked, the breakfast was great too. Parking is outside and close. There are horses around the yard also which is lovely. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The hot tub is also lovely. There is a dome to view the Northern Lights if needed which keeps you warmer!
There was very little not to like, I guess if you don't have a car it's a bit out of the way. The decking is a bit icy in the mornings if cold and you need to walk outside to reception and breakfast, so can get wet if raining.

Clean, modern, spacious, with good amenities and excellent buffet breakfast. Easy self- check-in.
A bit remote but that is also an advantage if you come chasing aurora borealis.

Relatively close to Golden Circle
In the middle of nowhere, nothing to see in the area. Looks more like a shed than a hotel. Paper-thin walls, you can hear people speaking in the neighbouring rooms. Below average restaurant, poor quality breakfast. Despite the conditions, very expensive.
