Beautiful old pub with views of the canal at the back. A few minutes walk into the town and towpath.

The room was lovely, the service was helpful and friendly, and the food was very good. The property is in a very good position, right next to the canal and within an easy walk of the town centre. We were able to walk to all the sights, and also had some excellent meals in town.
If we had wanted to eat or sit out in the garden, we might have found it disappointing - but we didn't.

The location was good and the bar served some lovely ciders.
The room was very tired- the shower was awkward to use and the beds were too soft. Apart from that it was a decent place to stay.
