This is a perfect central location to all that you would want to do in Getaria, restaurants, beach, sightseeing, hiking. All out of your door. The room was very clean and the staff extremely helpful. We were there during the annual town party and through no husky of the owner, the late night party and music was audible from the room and we couldn’t keep the windows open. It was a blast though. If you come during this time of celebration and need quiet, this wouldn’t be good for you, otherwise exceptional! We loved sitting on the front patio and people watching while everyone passes the garden.

If we could’ve kept the windows open it would’ve been cooler in our room, so a fan could be good. There was no hairdryer.

Fantastic location and our host was very friendly and helpful. She also booked bus tickets for us to our next stop Bilbao via Zarautz which we could never have done ourselves.

The beds were comfortable and it was clean. Coffee and tea available in reception. We kept in touch with the owners to advise that we might arrive after the opening hours of reception, we were told that this would incur a 40€ late arrival fee. In the end we arrived 7 minutes late and the owners did not charge the fee - we believe this was compensation for problems during our stay.

The hotel is located on the main coast road with a lot of summer traffic, 24 hours a day. If you go during hot weather, it is impossible to sleep with the windows open, so you must choose between hot room or noisy room. Our first night coincided with Getaria’s August fiesta, which made the noise situation even worse - but there was extreme traffic noise even after the fiesta finished. The last night there, there was a problem with the plumbing in another room that began at 4am which meant we couldn’t sleep even with earplugs due to noise. In the morning when we reported this, we were told we should have dealt with the problem ourselves at 4am by waking guests in other rooms to try and find the problem. The furniture and facilities are well used and the triple room is small. There is free parking available in the side streets near the hotel, but it is very difficult to find any spots during August. There is paid parking nearby, but due to how crowded Getaria is in the summer, the nearest we found each day was 1km+ round trip walk to and from the hotel.
