The room was nice and remarkably quiet for a location next to the current train station, even with the window open. The restaurant food, drinks and service were excellent with plenty of choice on the menu of both food a drinks (including a variety of Welsh Rarebit dishes, to our surprise) and the large covered outdoor terrace area was perfect for the hot weather. The cocktail selection was good and they were excellently presented and prepared.
The shower/toilet area in the room was so small that it was not possible to close the door whilst sitting on the toilet, so you need to be comfortable pooping in the precense of your travel partner. The main shower head looked like it would be very nice, but did not seem to be functioning.

helpful staff, very good evening meal in the restaurant
We were up in an attic room, up a very steep staircase and right at the top of these stairs and as we are elderly we found this dangerous. It was one of the hottest days in France, but our room was around 36C and even with the use of the provided fan, we could not cool it down. We both ended up sleeping in our car in the air conditioning. We had booked the room several months ago and hadn't expected to be put in such a small, hot room.
