I liked the view , the breakfast and breakfast area. The hotel building was not a conventional hotel lay out - but more homely - and I liked the vibe.
No lift to get from floor to floor - especially on arrival and departure with 20 kilo suitcases!!

The architecture and the aesthetics of the hotel are amazing - super cool vibes and an amazing location - I am very glad I stayed here. Loved how spacious my room was - having a balcony was a plus! Definitely would come back in summer!
I was traveling to Valpo in July (winter) and it seems like everywhere indoors was cold (not only Hotel Fauna). I wasn't prepared to be as cold indoors! The hotel room doesn't have heaters, lotion, or tissues - so come prepared!

Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Roof top bar restaurant had great views. Good location within Valparaiso. The car parking was difficult to find but still worth booking as our rental car clerk said car break ins were common in Valparaiso.
No air conditioning and no fan in the room - I asked for a fan on check in and got the last spare one they had so be sure to request it in advance. I knew there was no TV or fridge in the room but for the price in Chile, these really should be there to feel more comfortable.
