The host and his family. He made soup in evening, and everyone sat at the table so got to know the other guests. Breakfast was also especially good.
The guesthouse is an old farmhouse and the staircase to bedrooms could be a challenge.

We had an amazing stay at Gamli Bear. It started off with a warm welcome and some homemade soup when we arrived in the evening and a nice evening stroll around the area. The rooms are nice and cozy and give you the old farmhouse feeling, perfect to recharge after a long day exploring. The highlight was definitely the amazing authentic Islandic breakfast prepared by the host together with other guest. We’d definitely come back and stay for a couple of days.

Don’t normally do reviews but this place needs reviewing. It was the most welcoming place I have ever been and hospitality showed no ends. Only wish could have stayed longer. The breakfast was excellent with some proper Icelandic food. We felt like we were staying at a friendly relative’s.
