Everything was good

I am so glad that I picked this hotel after researching others. It was in a great location, rooms was great , comfortable beds. Our room was near the pool which meant we didn’t need to climb stairs each day to get to and from the room. it’s easily accessible and restaurants and shops are around the corner. So very central to everything. The staff were fantastic and arranged tours for us and went out of their way to help when I left my hat and shopping on a tour bus. The roof top terrace does have balloons fly right over it and the breakfast options where great too

Tekkaya Cave Hotel was one of the absolute highlights of our Turkey trip. We stayed in Göreme as a family of five, and Tekkaya was outstanding from the moment we arrived. Cappadocia can be tricky for families because many cave hotels are clearly designed around couples or smaller groups, but Tekkaya is one of the few hotels that genuinely caters properly for families, with multiple family-room options and a layout that actually works. The hotel itself has all the charm you hope for in Cappadocia: cave-style rooms, beautiful views, a relaxed atmosphere and a proper sense of place. It feels authentic without being uncomfortable, and warm without being overdone. The biggest difference, though, was the hospitality. Derya, at guest relations/front desk, was incredible. She was genuinely warm, helpful, family-oriented and welcoming. Not in a rehearsed hotel way, but in a real, human way. She made us feel looked after throughout our stay and was a huge part of why Tekkaya stood out so much for us. The location in Göreme is also excellent. The town itself surprised us in the best possible way. We expected Cappadocia to be mostly about the balloons, but Göreme is far more than that. It has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, reasonable prices, easy walking, beautiful views and a relaxed energy that made us wish we had even more time there. Tekkaya was the perfect base for all of it: close enough to walk into town, easy for restaurants and activities, and still peaceful enough to feel like a retreat. Our balloon experience was incredible, the scenery was unforgettable, but what made the stay special was the feeling of being genuinely hosted. Tekkaya gets the basics right and then adds real warmth on top. For families visiting Cappadocia, I cannot recommend Tekkaya Cave Hotel highly enough. It was practical, beautiful, welcoming and memorable — exactly what you hope for from a hotel in a place as special as Göreme. A genuine 12/10
