We had a really nice stay at Dervish. The staff were all nice. Mehmet at the reception was very friendly & accommodating. We arrived early & they were able to let us check in earlier & furthermore, a free room upgrade, our lucky day. Dervish is in a very nice location, uphill but only a few steps to the flat main road to the centre. It is very near to the Sunset/Sunrise Viewpoint to see the balloons. They have a rooftop bar where you can listen to music & have some drinks/food while overlooking Goreme. There are many restaurants within a few steps but they have restaurants in the property too. Breakfast had a good spread to choose from. Our room was very clean & bed was comfortable, with airconditioning. If you’re renting a car, you’re allowed to park infront of the property. We are very happy with Dervish. We highly recommend!

It looks like an awesome place
Due to threats to a nearby American base, and orders by the US State Department for people in that office to evacuate, we did not feel comfortable traveling to this area. Though we cancelled weeks in advance we were not able to get even a partial refund. The no refund policy seems extreme and would make me avoid venues that have no refunds at all.
