We loved our stay at Carus! The location was really convenient, with less hauling luggage up the hills. The rooms were beautiful and full of character, and the rooftops had gorgeous views. We ate dinner at the restaurant twice, and breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! The facilities were great, and all the staff were lovely and friendly—including our favorite, Daisy the dog!
The restaurant was a little expensive, although that seemed fairly typical of the tourist prices around town. Our room also felt quite damp, including the bedding at night. Some moisture is understandable in a cave room, but a dehumidifier might help make it more comfortable. We still loved the room and had a really great stay overall.
