Audrey, Anne, Naveen and the staff were friendly and helpfull, the breakfasts were delicious and our room was clean and comfortable. Audrey arranged for Patrick to take us around the town in his spotlessly clean Tuk Tuk which was very interesting and enjoyable. When we booked out Audrey and Anne drove us to our next accomodation in Sigiriya, a long drive but very enjoyable.
Coming from Melbourne, we found the room a bit cold on the first night and we really needed a light blanket to put on the bed, but there were none. No hot water for a shower, though the cold water wasn't TOO cold. Coffee and tea making facilities in our room but no milk. The room door had a lock which, when locked from the inside, has to be unlocked before leaving. This type of lock is not used in Australia (our country) and , not realising this, I slammed the door shut when leaving. Then the key wouldn't open the door and the staff had to remove the window to gain access. I think Audrey would do well to change the lock to a more suitable type.

Very nice family run transit hotel after a late night flight. Collected by the owner, thought the fair was expensive but I'm sure no more than a taxi. Nothing was too much trouble for Audrey and his lovely wife. Breakfast excellent, room sparkly clean. Quiet nook off the main road. Private courtyard and gated so very good security. Small number of rooms so not overcrowded.
The ONLY thing I didn't like was the poly blend sheets and the microfibre blanket. Every other hotel I stayed at in Sri Lanka had cotton bedding which I need to sleep well .. a bed snob maybe, but it's about the comfort and breathability.
