Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren

We just LOVE the location which is ideal! Not the first time we’ve been there. We love Lekeitio and for us Lekeitio rhymes with the Silken Palacio! The food is excellent, the staff is adorable and professional, the rooms are more than comfortable.

Nothing really.

The hotel needs a bit of renovation here and there, but it is exceptionally clean so these little things didn't bother us. Our room was huge with amazing big balcony. The room was facing a park, but had a sea view as well. It was so peaceful and picturesque in the morning with amazing sunrise. The hotel is located on the beach at the outskirts of the old city centre.

The location of the hotel is right next to the beach and overall it's a good hotel with great staff.

The room was a bit of a disappointment. We booked a room with a sea view, the windows in the room were quite small, because it was an attic room, so technically you could have a view only if you were standing up. I treat it a bit like a false advertisement. There was no place to dry the items, which is quite inconvenient for a hotel right next to the beach. The bedsheets and towels had an unpleasant smell, probably because they didn't dry properly. There was no kettle in the room. The biggest downside though no fault of the hotel itself, but it detracted significantly from the experience, was the fact that during our stay there was a travelling funfair/festival with loud music, noise and light (e.g. from bumper cars) until past 11pm. This funfair pretty much negated all of the positive things about the hotel. Of course there were no photos with funfair on the hotel's website and I don't think that the price reflected the fact that this would be the case. Lastly, while there is technically a reserved paid parking on site, a portion of it is on the street with parking locks and the hotel staff has to open it for you when you leave or arrive, which might cause further inconvenience as there might be a queue of people waiting to check in and you have to wait for them to be processed before someone from the hotel can open a parking slot for you.
