The position in the palace and the feeling that you were staying somewhere special. Everywhere walkable and close to the riva for strolling. The parking set up worked very smoothly and the boy who helped with our luggage was lovely.
Unfortunately our breakfast experience wasn't too good. On our first morning we weren't offered a menu and given the tiered stand and a couple of plates of cheese ham etc. My husband wanted a second cup of tea and there was no breakfast tea left! The delivery hadn't come. The next morning we asked about a breakfast menu and the girl was surprised that we had not been offered one previously. She brought one and we then had a choice but the 'egg chef' was off. The tea issue came up again but she managed to source a tea bag ,I don't know where from! This may sound like we are boring old folk who have got to have their tea but that is not the case. We have stayed in numerous 'Small luxury hotels of the world' and this was our first disappointment. Ivan on the phone about parking was very helpful but was very offhand when we mentioned our breakfast service. It didn't spoil our stay but left us disappointed.

What an incredible hotel. Built and located within the palace walls and only a short stroll to all the Old Town historical sights e.g. cathedral , clocktower etc. Also close to the promenade and other local squares, where there are lots of restaurants and bars to enjoy. The hotel only has 7 rooms in its main building which are very comfortable with good air conditioning. The staff were wery welcoming and helpful when needed. Breakfast was lovely served to your table in a beautiful courtyard. I would highly recommend.

Everything! Incredible location with comfortable amenities. The shower was a nice little surprise. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and polite, but
Ivan went above and beyond. A true standout!!
