We arrived in Tarbert on the evening ferry, so were very appreciative of the short drive to the guest house. Once there we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness, and shown to a lovely and immaculate room. Loved the Nespresso, too. The breakfast menu was extensive, and our choices delicious.

We highly recommend Ceol na Mara guesthouse for a stay in Harris. We enjoyed a very comfortable bedroom with its top class facilities. It was lovely to relax in the sitting room and enjoy the open views. The breakfast offered a great menu choice and the food was delicious. A special thanks to the hosts Andy and Elly who were very kind and helpful.
Nothing to dislike. It had everything you could wish for.

Ceol na Mara (meaning Song of the Sea in Gaelic if I’m not mistaken) was lovely! It was both cozy and elegant, with every detail given a lot of thought and care, and the owners were warm and welcoming. The breakfast and dinner platters were a work of art to behold and a delight to eat. I got tons of rest and reading done when I wasn’t out exploring the stunning surroundings. The beautiful artwork on the walls and animals - including dogs, cats, horses, chicken and sheep - added the final idyllic touch!
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
