All the staff had great attitude except the check in staff, had to call out the manager to get access to my reservation.
The check in process is very slow, had to contact the manager to get access to my reservation, unfortunately my kids left their passports in my house in another state and had no access to the information they were requesting. Thankfully the manager approved the check in.

Luxury experience and amazing staff - except the reception staff who were the worst I've ever experienced.
The reception staff lost our booking and made us wait for 2.5 hours for the room we had booked, in the middle of a hot day after a long journey from England. Refused to take responsibility for their error. Appalling customer service.
All other staff were outstanding, especially the men who drive the taxis.

It was okay. I wasn’t too happy having to smoke in areas very uncomfortable without ash tray outside the resort basically on the street on a hard rock bench. 10th floor would had been great having an umbrella at least for the heat. No where to sit I felt discriminated and punished for smoking. We are customers that smoke and pay same amount for our stay too. Customers that smoke are
not any less than others. I respect the rules but give me somewhere decent to sit. A chair or bench with cushion and ashtray. I’m a customer too that paid for my stay at Park Royal Beach Hualtulco. It won’t be my first option to stay at my next trip.
Getting sick from my stomach with food poisoning. The food near the beach was not too well kept at right temperature. Flies would be all over the dessert table when double doors were wide open.
7th floor restaurant is a la carte. Menu is translated in English but once they brought the plates it did not have what it said on the menu. My omelette was missing the bell pepper , onion and bacon on the side.
My pescado a la Veracruzana was missing the rice. When I asked the waiter his response was we run out of rice.
It would have been nice if they would let me know while ordering.

The location is great. A taxi drive to the main city. The room was clean although the housekeepers never swept the room.
This is my second time at Park Royal Beach Huatulco, and things have changed a lot. Bad things. When you arrive, you get swapped with travel time-share agents. Can I check in first?
The food was bland, it had no flavor. There were no dinner shows. Something that was provided every night back in December 2020. The small bus/truck that transports guests to the beach was always unavailable. We had to walk to the beach and walk back. About a twenty-minute walk. There were no beach towels. There were no excitement or fun activities at the hotel. It was so boring. Again, the food was bland with no flavor.
