The breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable. Receptionists were helpful
The location is in old part of town and there are not many things to do around. Also there are not many good restaurants or cafes near by and there was no dustbin in the room but one in the bathroom

The ladies on the desk were extremely helpful and worked very long shifts without flagging, took a package for me when I wasn't there. One lady spoke good English, which is helpful if your Russian has limits!
Extremely good quality hotel and great value. The hotel is in the "old town" which is not super close to the city centre, but it is easily accessible from the medical university bus stop by the 10, 26 or 36. Pretty easy 15 minute walk to Almaty 1 train station if you are taking a train journey elsewhere in the Kazakhstan.

Clean comfortable bed
Aircon needs to maintenance as it stayed on 23 degrees and failed to cool at lower temperature. This cause the room to have been very hot and I then asked to be moved to another room.
