The room was perfect for what we needed. I loved the location being right next to where we wanted to ski. There is also a bus stop right out the front so very easy to get to the other mountains.

It had a great location if you wanted to ride Cortina - as it was steps away from a lift. It gets you over to lift 4 in no time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was in a quiet area. We spent time in other areas of Hakuba Valley but Satomi/Cortina was by far the best. The rooms were basic, warm, and clean. Given it's location, huge breakfast we had every morning, and staff, Cortiuna Lodge provided incredible value. THANK YOU CORTINA LODGE!
It took some used to understanding the night shuttle, but this had nothing to do with the lodge. They told us all about it, it was just difficult for us to navigate. The beds were too firm for both of us, but staff provided me with an extra futon mat which helped significantly.
