It's a perfect location for exploring the Barbican, Hoe and the best of what Plymouth has to offer. The pub is nice and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and they do tell you to bring your own shampoo/conditioner so read the note they email you! There's a pay car park just 50 yds away. Lots of choice around for breakfast.
The wifi disconnects frequently which is mildly annoying. There is noise at night, but I expected it and it didn't bother me. Its the compromise you make for the location.

Lovely venue right by the Mayflower steps. Very clean. friendly staff.
I was sad that Room 4 didn't have a sea view. However that's life. Ideal venue for fishing, walking or en route to Spain ☺️

The location was great for the barbican and surrounding areas. the black out blind and curtains worked a treat.
The cups were paper and so were the spoons. The room is in need of some TLC and some minor fixings, but i was informed that the hotel is having a £30K upgrade in January 2027
