Great location

Close to train station, welcome drinks each night, laundry facilities and massage chairs, room was bigger than most, balcony

Would book again!

Great location, the free welcome drink and the chair massages were a really nice touch.

We stayed in two different rooms, the north wing is better than the south wing

It was generally a pleasant stay, except for the size of the room

Being to make your own coffee anytime at the communal area of the hotel

Given the small size of the room space could be put to better use, eg the couch was a waste of space

We always stay here for many years, over any other choices in the area.

Best buffet breakfast you will ever eat !

No electric outlets in the bathroom for hair dryer. Only two low watt light bulbs in the bathroom ceiling and no vanity lighting for the mirror so shaving and putting on makeup is next to impossible.

Fantastisk frukost, enormt utbud och väldigt gott och vällagat.

Frukostmatsalen var underdimensionerad så varje morgon fick man sitta utomhus och vänta innan man fick bord. Hårda sängar och lika hårda kuddar.

Comfort, style and convenience.

This stylish hotel is ideally located within a very short walking distance to key Kyoto amenities, including the train station. The hotel is equipped with great facilities like a bar, restaurant and patio that make it more than a place to simply sleep; it’s a place to spend time and relax. The staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions and accommodate requests. The room is slightly on the smaller side which made it tricky to use/access suitcases, but having the balcony was a great compromise!

The bed pillow was too thin for my personal preference. I wish there were bedside tables and power points on both sides of the bed.

A relaxing and wonderful stay in Japan

This was our favorite stay in Japan. We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. We loved being close to the station for easy access to day trips. The shared spaces at the hotel including the public bath, gym + free laundry, lounge areas with tea and massage chair, made us feel so relaxed and at home. For the price of the stay, we felt this was a very great value!

Amazing stay. Loved Kyoto and we thoroughly enjoyed our accomodation

The hotel had great facilities and service. Public bath was clean and had everything you need. We received a complementary beverage every evening, along with tea and coffee 24/7. The lobby area was nice and included outdoor fireplaces. It was also a 2 minute walk from the Kyoto station which was super handy.

Ideal en primavera/Verano.

Buena ubicacion, las bebidas de cortesia y la musica, cenamos en el hotel y buena calidad precio. las habitaciones comodas y amplias. el personal muy amable, nos ayudaron con la reserva de un restaurante y a enviar las maletas.

Al ser un hotel tan abierto, hace frio en las zonas comunes, no lo recomendaria para invierno o entrado el otoño. Las lavadoras al ser gratis, siempre estaban llenas y las secadoras no secaban bien.

A lovely hotel in a great location.

Breakfast was fine- a mix of Japanese and Western food. Good location- near the station but quiet. The free evening drink was nice.

Highly recommend, modern hotel with great breakfast.

Lovely hotel in close proximity to Kyoto station, shops and restaurants. Hotel is modern with great facilities like private bath, large public seating area. Entertainment provided on the nights we were there with complimentary drink each night. Rooms very comfortable with private balcony. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Japan.

Bathroom was one of those pods like most Japanese hotels. Very clean though with lovely products. Not a deal breaker!

Other than the confined space of the room our stay was very enjoyable.

The ambiance of the public area was wonderful. The breakfast and welcome drinks were excellent.

The rooms were rather small and minimal. No closet space or extra hooks to hang shopping bags.

I stay here every business trip I take to Kyoto (7 so far) and will continue to do so; great onsen.

The breakfast buffet is fantastic, lots of delicious variety. Best opportunity for large plates of vegetables to add some green to the Japan travel diet. Rooms and beds are quiet and comfortable, and the aircon works great in the Kyoto summer heat. Location only a 5 minute walk to the central Shinkansen gate in Kyoto station.

The power outlet options in the rooms need to be updated, as I always need to borrow a hotel power cord to get an outlet near a bed for my phone.

Great location near Kyoto station with daily welcome drink and live music

Location great - just a two minute walk to Kyoto station with a 7-11 on the way. Rooms were ample size and comfortable, especially coming from Tokyo were the rooms were tiny. Also very reasonably priced. We loved the daily welcome drink and live music at night as well as complimentary tea and coffee. Didn't get to visit the public bath, but seemed nice to have one. Staff were super nice.

It is an "outdoor" hotel. We were there in summer and it was pretty hot at night and there were mosquitoes in the common area. It would have been nice to have an air conditioned indoor lobby to relax in, but the restaurant was accommodating to let us sit in there to listen to the live music even though we didn't order food. Conceptually, free laundry is a plus, but it is always in use so you have to wait in line, and dryers don't dry your clothes.

Sakura Terrace The Gallery has clean rooms, convenient location, helpful staff, and fair pricing.

Hotel's visual directions from Kyoto Station to hotel are accurate and helped find hotel easily. Location is easy 3 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Free fitness center, self service laundry, happy hour drink, all-day coffee/tea, very much appreciated. Staff is helpful. Room is clean, comfortable, quality windows keep out noise. Very relaxing air conditioned lounge.

Superb

The location is great, even though Kyoto station is very confusing and this hotel is the other side of main station, it's close and we could walk with our luggage easily. The room was nice with a terrace but it was raining during our stay, we didn't use it. What we loved was the public bath! It's not onsen (hot spring) but to relax after busy, long day, it's the best.

An excellent hotel with great location and facilities. We would stay there again

This is a lovely hotel; we have stayed there before. Conveniently close to the JR station and many amenities. The hotel has all day tea and coffee, welcome drinks every day and free laundry facilities. It is clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.

The bath/shower has a very fine drain filter which blocks with hair very quickly so that you are standing in water when you shower. We were there for 12 nights and it did not drain well at the start of our stay and did not get better. I don't think this gets cleared by housekeeping every day and it needs to be. Or better still, change the drains to a filter that allows the water to escape. Housekeeping can be a little random, forgetting things occasionally (like straightening the bed) and not quite cleaning to top standard.

Exceptional

A very convenient location. The breakfast is a bit pricy but they deliver great quality breakfast. I also love the onsen and that it caters until 1am, especially for those who just came back late from sightseeing and bar hopping around the city, to be able to relax after all the hustle and bustle of a day is the best! Bed, pillows were comfortable and the room was clean! Make sure to stay here everytime you come to Kyoto, 'cause for sure, we will!

We couldn't find any socket near the bed area, and we had to leave our phones near the television which is like the only visible socket in the room. It would've been better if there were near the bed area as we are always using our phones.

After check-in, there will be welcome drinks provided. The hotel design overall is good. The room is big.

If there is indoor connection corridor between and North and South Wings will be better. But this does not bother much.
