Lovely place with nice staff and a great chef

The staff were lovely but the building work had not been completed so there were no spa facilities, restricted restaurant access and no lifts. But when the restaurant opened it was lovely food and the staff helped so much. It will be perfect when finished!!

Comfortable hotel in good location.

Comfortable beds, good air con, nice shower and separate bathroom. A good stop over in a nice Riverside town, with good options for dinner as well.

Thje location is near the river. the rooms are OK.

There was a noise and a stron light just along the night. We had to sleep with closed window = too hot in the room...

Excellent!!

My colleague and I arrived by bicycle for a one night stopover and were delighted with all aspects of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very good restaurant.

Very quite town but hotel was good. Wine museum enabled us to purchase some local wine.

The helpful manager made all the difference to an enjoyable stop over.

Breakfast was ok but could be better. It would be nice to have the opportunity of a second coffee or juice.

Very mediocre. overpriced for quality of food and service

Thé Location

you wouldn’t know you were in a world renowned wine region. the white wine menu had more Cotes de Bourgogne on it than Bordeaux. The wine recommended to us was no better than a cheap supermarket wine which was undrinkable. we ordered a €90 red, which was served in small wine glasses. Larger ones were provided on request. Food very mediocre. we were there 5 weeks earlier and it was far better. service poor, could do with some training.

Very good

Hotel, very clean, staff friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The Hotel was a very good base for sightseeing and the coast.

The WIFI in the bedroom did not work unfortunately.

Can be improved

Bed was comfortable, free car park in front of the hotel was convenient

Balcony not as expected, no table, cheap plastic chairs. Nobody guided us to our bedroom which was very far, turn right, turn left, take the stairs etc. We found it 7 mins later. The room looked really old, needs modernising. The location is facing the Gironde which is nice, but don’t go out after 9pm: nothing to do and very weird people around. Doesn’t feel safe at all.

Excellent location next to many bars.

No aircon and it's a bit of a creaky old building. One of the reception staff was decidedly offish.
