Perfect room and bed after a day of hiking! Best staff! Loved it!

International tourists be AWARE !!! By the time you check in they Will charge you Double the value on your e-mail confirmation. Dollar tarjeta is a benefit given by Argentina to International tourists that they want to keep for them.

our stay would have been perfect if we had access to a fan!

the staff were super helpful, the location was quiet but also close to the main street and also easy to access hikes. the room was a great size and very clean on arrival.

we were there at a particularly warm time in January and our room got afternoon sun. we were quite hot in the evenings trying to sleep without a fan. it’s a bit on the expensive side in comparison to the rest of our accommodations in argentina.

what a gem. a large and beautiful cabin room with an outdoor terrace was absolutely delightful and great value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh cooked eggs options. you can walk to everything from here. it was quite and a perfect retreat. We would definitely stay again.

the location was excellent for all treks, brekkie was very good and staff super friendly and helpful

the only down side was the plug socket in the bedroom it was at about 6 ft up the side of the wall or you used the one in the bathroom - which I’m not too keen to do

Lovely boutique hostel with wonderful staff

Staff were so helpful and kind, going above and beyond to help us with some last minute requests/challenges. The rooms look recently renovated and are very nicely decorated. The common spaces are comfortable and beautiful. The location is very convenient for many of the hiking trails, as well as restaurants and shops.

a good place to stay longer and start hikes

The Puma is about 100 meters away from the main street St. Martin which can be loud at night. The hotel is quiet and in walking distance to all other places. As we stayed 5 nights we took a room in the back, which was nice, clean and spacy and a good place to hang around reading. There is a lobby with an open fire. We also enjoyed not having televison in the whole hotel, even during the futbol world champion ship. (the big screens and food of Rancho Grande are just 300 m away). The staff ist very friendly, helpful and interested, so we had nice conversations with them.

The hotel would be perfect having a sauna to relax after a long hike.

Fantastic hotel near the center of the city and very close to the most well known trails in El Chalten. Breakfast was great and the front desk staff was super helpful! Great stay!!

Mixed feelings

The room is very nice.

I would prefer to not have to do a web checkin after having checked in physically (what the purpose?), I would prefer to not have to recall the staff I was not subject to VAT at checkout; after a long day hike, I would be happy to have a kettle in my room. The room is very nice, but for sure not the best value in El Chaltén.

Cintia and her team provided wonderful, personal and warm hospitality. rooms were brand new, comfortable and very clean. couldn’t ask for more in a perfect stay.

Beautiful Hosteria. We stayed in the superior room and we didn't want to leave, because it was so nice and comfortable to be there. The smell of the room was so nice, we had an own terrace to spend time on, when the weather was nice. The staff was super helpful in organizing our tours and suggesting us what is the best possibility adjusted to the weather. We absolutely recommend this hosteria!

Very good

one girl from the reception with long brown hair was not helpful, always in the kitchen. she didn’t say anything to our taxi driver who was coming for picking us at the hotel .. she didn’t even check our name on her computer and told him i don’t know .. he decided to leave .. no apologies from her. not recommandable. the other girl from the recetion with short and long hair was extremely helpful and way more friendly and respectful.

Cozy, relaxing mountain getaway. Highly recommend!

Hosteria el Puma was great! Great location, close to trailheads. The room was comfortable, and quite large. The ambience throughout the hotel was very relaxing, from the lobby fireplace to the plush towels. Perfect mountain hotel!

Sound traveled. There was a family with three young children (approx. ages 2, 4, 6) while we were there, and the kids were quite loud. We could hear them from every part of the hotel, whether we were in our room, at breakfast, or in the lobby. Wifi was weak.

Cosy and nicely furnished B&B, walking distance to everything.

Such a clean place, neatly situated with access to the very small town. Nice breakfast before the long hikes. Cute decoration inside and a cosy fireplace. Sol at the frontdesk was especially helpful with her hiking tips!!

It would have been helpful if there was a small fridge in the room so we could cool our hiking food the night before the trek so it would last.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable, the place was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, the location was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the cost, and definitely recomme nd.
