We had such a wonderful, unique, peaceful stay. The property is so special. If you like somewhere a bit different, this is for you. The stairs creak and the building is old (obviously!) but that was part of the fun for us. The pool was glorious and I had it to myself for most of the days we were there. The breakfast room was incredible, like a dining room in a TV show. The breakfast had lots of little lovely touches like figs from the garden and home made jams.
Just out of the window there was so much wildlife so bring your binoculars if you like birds. It’s a short drive in to town for meals etc. we found a couple of local outdoors restaurants too- 7mins drive approx.
Huge bathroom. Comfy bed. Peaceful and dark at night. 2 cats and lots of birds. Nice people. Not far to the coast by car.
There wasn’t much to dislike! There will be things that are a bit different to a stay in a hotel or something, but if you are somewhere who likes places with character then this won’t be a problem for you.
We were a bit worried about the check in time but were contacted on the day and ended up being able to come hours earlier.
You can’t lock your own door from the outside- we weren’t bothered about this because there was only one other couple staying in the hotel, but perhaps a safe would be good for people who have many valuables etc.

Struttura d'epoca ottimamente conservata, posizione comoda per gli spostamenti in auto, immersa nel verde, camere con arredamento storico in tema, bellissima sala colazione, il bagno moderno stato una sorpresa. Arnaud il proprietario è una persona stupenda e disponibile.
Manca l'aria condizionata, la cassaforte e il frigobar nelle camere.

Pas de ventilateur chaleur infernale dans les chambres, pas de jardin paysager à l'extérieur, lit ferme et peu confortable.
