lovely guesthouse in a good position looking out over the walls of the Fort. My room opened onto a small veranda where I could sit and watch people walk by along the walls, and the kids play cricket. breakfast was good but expensive (but all of Galle is expensive!). Easy to reach the rest of the Fort area and close to the bus station and train station.

Good staff, clean room

Next to a school, wake up at 7 a.m. with screams from the children. The hotel closes at 10:30 p.m. You can't leave after that time, we are obliged to stay inside the hotel.

Great location inside the fort. Spacious, comfortable and tidy room with everything you need.

Bathroom door wouldn't close and tap came loose. Wifi was quite unstable. Breakfast quite expensive (8 USD)

very friendly and helpful owner and staff. nice room with everything you need. very nice patio with ocean views. location is great to explore the main sights. very quiet location but a little bit apart from the restaurants and cafés. would go again and really can recommend this place.

Excellent value for money guesthouse in central location

This was a very welcoming guest house in an excellent location which was very good value for money. Our host was so helpful and friendly and organised our onward travel. The roof terrace is a real bonus.

Excellent service at this peaceful guesthouse in Galle Fort

We really enjoyed our stay at this small, clean, and elegant guesthouse in Galle Fort. It's in an old colonial-style building with lots of history (which, if you're a nerd like me, you can read all about in the information booklet that they leave in your room). As other guests have mentioned, the rooftop area overlooking the cricket green and the Fort walls is a big bonus - and there were also similar views from the dining area just outside our room, where we liked to have breakfast and look out at the passers-by. It's lovely watching groups of tourists and locals alike all gathering along the Fort wall at sunset to look out at the sea. Really good-quality breakfast too (our first taste of Sri Lankan egg hoppers with daal!). Our room was nice and comfortable and although it sounds like a small thing we were really happy with the shower - definitely one of the better bathrooms/shower facilities that we came across staying at guesthouses in Sri Lanka within this (very reasonable) price range. Probably the best thing of all at this guesthouse though was the hospitality and excellent service. Our hosts were always on hand to offer advice and help us arrange things that we wanted to do (including a very early-morning tuk-tuk drive to visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda and nearby Jungle Beach). And so thoughtful - the absolute highlight of our stay for me was when my boyfriend asked a staff member if he could kindly cut a coconut open for us so that we could drink the water...and instead of just halving the coconut, the waiter returned proudly displaying what can only be described as Coconut Origami (he had somehow carved the coconut into the shape of a mouse, with ears, and then popped two straws in it for us - it was amazing!). Officially the best/most surprising drink that we had in all our time in Sri Lanka! So thank you very much to Seagreen Guesthouse for giving us these memories :)

Comfy little guesthouse with a great view.

Excellent location close to the ramparts. We could watch the sunset from the balcony or roof terrace. Very friendly staff.

Not a fan of plastic.

The location was brilliant for access to everywhere and had a great view of outside life by the sea on an apoya day. Friendly owner and staff who provided a few extra things we asked for. Cheap and cheerful accommodation .

Excellent location with beautiful ocean view

We loved Seagreen. This was one of our favorite places we stayed while in Sri Lanka. The location in the fort was wonderful and the view from the sunset terrace was lovely. It even smelled like flowers. It was so nice to be able to walk anywhere we needed to in the fort. The staff was incredibly accommodating--allowing us to check in early and setting us up with a tuk tuk to get to the bus station. They also let us know what tuk tuk rates should be and our driver helped us find the right bus. There was no mosquito net in the room, but we had AC so no need to open the windows and no mosquitos in the room.

A lovely spot on a beautiful beach, the staff and the way it is run make it exceptional.

The staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Life is very easy and relaxed here, not too formal, could not have been better. The beach is exceptional if you want a quiet time away from everything. This hotel is right on the beach, the view and the sound of the surf is why we came and we weren't disappointed. Thank you Thomas - you are a great host and a great chef too. The food was always delicious.

Wonderful position and staff and spacious bedroom and bathroom

Very nice position, upstairs balcony looks out over the friendly cricket match to the sea and very nice staff who really made me feel welcome. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and had all the necessary basics (including a good, bright bedside lamp which nowhere else in Sri Lanka had). The bathroom is also spacious. Nice breakfast choices & the most filling breakfast pancake I’ve ever had.

It is right next to a girls school, you cannot sleep in as the school bells keep going, but you get to feel part of the community.

Good decent place and value for price.. Did not like renovations going on.. Had to leave and stay out all day.. And dust and chips from. Paint scraping were annoying.and removal of furniture from the sitting porch 2nd floor.. I was only guest.. It felt uncomfortable to be There woman alone

Staff were so lovely, welcoming and helpful. The aircon in the room is fab! Bed and pillows very firm and comfy. Location great, TukTuk driver who also works there was so lovely and gave us a tour on the way to Marissa. Couldn’t ask for more from a little guesthouse. Highly recommend.
