Superb food

Breakfast was very good, the scrambled eggs were perfect! We had two evening meals; there was a good choice of dishes, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The inn is in a lovely village with easy access to the South Downs, and to Chichester. It has a cosy well-stocked bar, and an attractive courtyard seating area.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Good facilities - made good use of the pub and restaurant. Great room with very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with several choices. Good location - in the country but easy to get into Chichester and attractions like Bosham and Fishbourne Palace.
Minor quibble but could have done with more clothes hanging space - perhaps a wardrobe with a couple of drawers underneath rather than the large chest of drawers.

I was able to stay comfortably and warmly. The cookies provided in the room were a nice touch and gave the place a very cozy feeling.
However, the soundproofing was poor, and the door was not properly secured, so whenever the outside door closed, my room door would shake loudly and startle me. After my stay, I tried contacting the hotel several times regarding the receipt, but the service team did not respond to my emails or messages for several days, which caused major confusion with my company expense processing.
