Everything is exceptional. Now it’s my favourite place in Ireland.
I absolutely loved everything about this hotel.
Exceptional service, beautiful interiors, a wonderful lobby with a fireplace, and a lovely room. The beautifully maintained garden, with its collection of rare plants, was absolutely stunning.
I couldn’t catch up with the local rabbit to give it a cuddle. :-)))

Stunning scenery and grounds from the moment you enter the driveway. Staff excellent, friendly and think of everything. Complementry rowing on Caragh lake was fabulous. Would of loved to try the new hot tube if the weather was cooler - definately coming back in autumn. Food exquisite and great value for money. Cocktails amazing too. Very romantic spot. This beat our honeymoon.

First the downside, this magnificent hotel isn't easy to get to but in many ways this is a plus. The building itself has a wonderful Arts and Crafts ambience and is in immaculate condition. The bathroom facilities are modern and stylish, and the grounds, even when overcast, are a delight. The restaurant is superb, with an excellent menu choice and a varied wine list. The lounge areas are spacious and never felt crowded and the bar is very well stocked, albeit with no beer on draft. The staff were marvellous, both attentive and polite, and able to provide some useful tips for exploring the area. In short, a wonderful short stay.
Draft beer, but I appreciate that this is difficult in a remote hotel of this size. It's hard to find anything else to criticise!
