It was a pleasant surprise to fund this small modern Hotel in Serpa in the hart of Alentejo, right next to an old church in the old cobblestone square with milliner olive trees and a bell tower that during the day plays the hours mixed with the birds announcing the arrival of spring, the staff in the Hotel is welcoming and helpful.
We asked at the reception if they recommended a place to have dinner and they send us to a small beautiful decorated local restaurant called A Mondadeira under the guidance of Mr. Daniel, a young Brazilian and his team cooking a fusion of Brazilian and Portuguese cosine that was magnificent accompanied by live soft music, enjoyed with an excellent local wine worth a visit.
The breakfast in the Hotel was adequate and varied and all included in the price, parking facilities are available on the street in front of the Hotel.
We ad an added bonus on retuning to the Hotel of Alentejo Songs (Cantares Alentejanos) by a group of young and old locals, in the church square under the moon light that will stay in our memory.
We will come back Serpa.
Not being able to stay more time. But we will be back and i hope that we will be able to enjoy the magnificent welcome that we received from the Alentejo and Serpa.

A lovely little hotel right in the heart of Serpa. We were able to park right outside of the hotel which was a real bonus. Nice comfortable room with a terrace that was great to sit outside and have glass of wine. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was more than sufficient. We would definitely stay at Hotel Beatriz again if we ever return to Serpa.

We asked for late check out, no later than 12, and it was not available not even at a cost, which not even an option given.
Not very client needs oriented

"Very well situated near the centre of the old town, the hotel was modern inside, comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The town is charming with lots of narrow cobbled alley..."
