I am inexperienced in lone travelling abroad. However, from the moment I entered the hotel to the reception area, I felt entirely comfortable. All staff I had any contact with throughout, from check-in to check-out, were welcoming, supportive and informative; alleviating any personal travelling fears I may have had prior to my trip.
The variety and quality of food was exceptional and plentiful. Room had everything needed for a short trip.
I did not like the signage as you enter suggesting the hotel is 3 stars (3 ***).
The attitude, knowledge and abilities of all the staff involved clearly, and deservedly, is more than this rating
From front of house facing to back room staff, 3 stars is in-suffice for their combined efforts

Everything was lovely in our stay. Of course you need a reality check as this is a 3 star refurbished hotel so some of the details are not perfect as you might have seen elsewhere, but definitely an amazing value for money.
Great location near the airport with quick and cheap public bus lines.
Food was diverse every day so you don’t feel like always eating the same.
Deserts were not as cold as expected.
Soundproof in the rooms is very weak, doors closing nearby have big impact of the sleep.

Close to the bus stop, loads of food options (if you eat meat/fish), close to the beach, close to the airport
Unfortunately you could hear everything through the walls (especially vacuum cleaners in the morning), also the partying that is going on until midnight. Veggie options are always the same: potatoes, pasta, pizza.
