The setting of the hotel within a nature reserve makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere. We had a very relaxing 24 hours.
The rooms were nice and the staff great .
We loved the thermal water pools.
This is a great place to spend a couple of nights relaxing.

I first stayed here in summer 2024 (I brought my Spanish students on a student tour with EF Tours and they had booked the property for 2 nights) and I fell in love with it. Being woken up by howler monkey calls, relaxing in the several hot springs pools, the fancy facilities for events, adorable decor and design of the hotel, and my favorite: walking down to the river to have my coffee in the mornings on the balcony they have. I loved it so much, I made sure EF Tours booked it again for my student tour I'm taking in summer 2026 when we are in that area. Additionally, I booked it again for my March 2026 trip to Costa Rica with my family, and all of them fell in love with it just as I had. We are thinking about booking our wedding reception there for 2027. Love love love!
Only complaint would be it can be a bit of a trek to get to your room and there are stairs to climb. We had to go quite a long ways around the property this time to get from our vehicle to our room way in the back corner, and we had elderly with us and lots of luggage. Other than that, zero complaints! The other time I stayed there, my room was next to the parking lot, so it was super easy to get to.

Location is soectacular and you can stay in the hotel during your stay or go outside and find other restaurants and places to enjoy in the area.
The food was not like the best. I suggest asking for the menu instead of taking the buffet option. I was there before and the menu (even though you don’t have too many options to choose from) has better and tastier food.
