Good location to central Cairns.
Liked the layout of the downstairs, felt very open and very social, pool was good too.
Super clean shower facilities.
Seemed very social but still quite a quiet hostel which we preferred. It felt like a good amount of people there were there for a good chunk of time which was nice.
The room felt a bit tired but was fine for our short stay.

The location is excellent—convenient, central, and close to everything you need. The staff were also fantastic: friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Good location close to Cairns esplanade, lagoon and harbor
Spacious and clean common areas & dorms
Well equipped kitchen (oven, utensils etc)

When you book on Booking it is noted that you are booking several beds in the same dormitory, but in reality the hostel does not take this into account and separates you into several different rooms. No solution was offered to us, so we asked for a private room instead, for which we had to pay an extra $24 (a more commercial hostel would have probably not charged this amount)
The bed in the private room had an old-fashioned, uncomfortable spring mattress. The room itself was not super pretty. We were in a dorm for the last night and the dorm was really good for a cheap hostel
