The location was excellent, with everything within walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. Although we stayed in a different building from the check-in area, the staff kindly transferred our luggage for us, so we didn’t have to carry it ourselves. The hotel rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the bathroom amenities smelled really nice, which added a pleasant touch to the stay.
Our experience with the room was unfortunately not as restful as we had hoped. Our original room was on the 4th floor, located right next to the breakfast area. The first night was quite noisy due to early breakfast preparations, and we could also hear our neighbours quite clearly, including music and general noise. It seemed like the walls were quite thin, so sound carried easily.
The second night we decided to give it another chance, but we were kept awake by various noises until around midnight. Then, early in the morning, breakfast preparations started again around 6 am, which woke us up. We also noticed some strange clicking sounds, which we believe came from the ventilation system, so overall we did not get much sleep.
After mentioning this to the staff, we were kindly moved to a new room on the third floor with a balcony facing the shopping street. However, this room was also quite noisy. It was the first room on the corridor next to a sliding door, so we could hear people coming in and out frequently. In addition, there was street noise at night as well as early morning activity from waste collection and pedestrians.
Overall, while the service was helpful when we raised the issue, the noise levels in both rooms made it difficult to get proper rest, so we would not recommend it for those looking for a quiet stay.
