I’ve been traveling south east Asia for the last month and my last stop was Thailand I really wanted to see the white temple here in Chiang Rai and I found Huen Chan Thip . It wasn’t just the location of this place were you can walk to the center and enjoy so many local spots to eat or the comfortable room and bed the ac blowing cool air clean restroom or the amazing breakfast they cook every day to start your your day with authentic Thai food . The family that runs this place is so friendly and helpful and make it by far the best place I yet to stay at!! Please don’t look any further if you’re planning on staying in Chiang Rai! This is the place you won’t regret it. I extended my my stay here for 5 extra days because I didn’t want look for another place I didn’t have too after being here. Trust me this is the spot to be !

Cute place located conveniently two blocks west of the clocktower. Staff was nice and there's a good pool with a waterfall (if they choose to turn it on for you).
Bed very hard and lots of ants in the bathroom. Entrance of hotel is the family living room so you walk through that then through their kitchen to get to all the rooms which felt almost more like a homestay than a hotel. Doors are locked at midnight so if you happen to be out later than that you have to ring a bell and wake up someone to come open the door. I guess for me it felt a bit too personal rather than professional.
