It’s just a few minutes away from Ximending, and there are lots of stores nearby where you can shop and walk around. Even convenience stores are within walking distance. A great place to stay near Taipei City!

We stayed 4 nights. it was a 10 minute walk initially from Sanchong MRT but the bus route from outside the hotel to downtown Taipei is easier than MRT. Busy reception with a breakfast buffet serving a variety of food and drink. Staff were helpful in discussing and advising on travel-related activities. Easy elevator access to the rooms. The room was comfortable in terms of the facilities as having a double bed, hot shower, table, desk
We had a problem handling the centralized AC. Our problem was a room-specific one with the cold air from the ac creating a dampness on the mattress which led to severe leg cramps while trying to sleep. In the end, we asked for assistance in having the AC turned off. After the first two nights, we were able to sleep better. You cannot control the AC temperature from within the room. The problem was solved by the second night. Just something to be aware of.

It was the cheapest place to stay over the weekend at the time I booked although still around a $100 a night. The staff was nice and helpful. The bed and beddings were relatively clean. Room size was good. Access to Ximending is very easy as it’s just on the other side of bridge with buses passing every few minutes.
I kind of thought a 7.3 score hotel couldn’t be that bad but I should have read the reviews first before booking. The hotel reeked of smell to the point it irritated my lungs. The ground had a lot of stains which I don’t want to imagine where they come from. The AC wasn’t working well and sometimes pumped the smell from outside to the room. I’m also pretty sure, the beddings caused allergic reaction to me although it could also be the air.
