The staff was incredibly kind and helpfull ! They were able to recommend many places concerning all different kinds of foods. At the end we talked about our experiences in Taiwan and with them - in english and Japanese, all while staying professional - it was great.
The room was bigger and cleaner than expected, the same also goes for the nice italian style shower. The hotel is kept in pastel-like, easy on the eyes, colours and has some cute decorations (i.e. Mickey Mouse shaped bed-lights; chiikawa stuff in the lobby), well, all in all just as advertised.
The proximity to the MRT station (~5 minutes walk) also pade it very easy to get anywhere in a relatively short amount of time.
The building seems to be a bit sketchy from the outside, but, once you're inside, the atmosphere is completely different.
The Karaoke upstairs can sometimes still be heard until midnight (didn't hear it later than that), but, as we had often spent a good chunk of the day exploring Taipei and its environments (~20.000 steps/day) the music didn't even enter our minds.

Great location. Close to Taipei Bridge train station (6-7 mins walk) and bus stop.
The staff who checked is in was very polite, respectful and helpful. He adhered to our requests immediately (A chair was provided in the room replacing the plastic stool).
Big room and bathroom. Work space table was huge.
Bed was very comfortable.
There was a constant bad smell coming from the bathroom.
The hotel reception was on the 9th floor of a very old building. The property is in a run-down condition. Windows are sealed and cannot be opened for fresh air. Window glass was very dirty too.

Simple rooms but with everything you need. I like the location in Taipei, good public transport connections and many local eateries, a night market and stores nearby. I would like to highlight the great service by the staff, specifically by Niu. I’ve rarely seen someone as motivated as him. He always wanted to help us with activities, public transport, recommendations, etc. and he would also try to give us water bottles when leaving the hotel, so we drink enough.
There seems to be karoako bar in the same building, so it can be loud around midnight.

Very affordable and staff is very friendly. they do offer a washer and dryer for extremely cheap. i did not see any bugs or anything of that nature.
ktv right above. our room had a carpet flooring and there was a ton of stains. no soap? (there was only a 2in1 hair and body gel)
