Parking was easy , Shower had good pressure , big room
No 3 pin plug available in bedroom or usb charging point . Had to charge phone in another room . Not practical for Alarm. Had to book what time I wanted breakfast despite it saying available 8-11am .

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Location was great, situated outside of Edinburgh but the bus stop is a 5 mins walk down the road which took approx. 40 mins to get into the city centre. Food served in the on-site restaurant was delicious. Overall, very good value for money!

In mid-August the hotel prices in Edinburgh are insane and this hotel was the only reasonably priced place I could find for an overnight stop near the city. I arrived late but that was no problem for checking in (see below). Ample free car parking. The bathroom was good.
There was no staff at the hotel at all when I arrived. They had emailed me beforehand about this. There was a note on the entrance about my room number and the room key was in the door. Very impersonal.
There is a very steep and narrow staircase to get up to the rooms, not easy to navigate with heavy bags.
The hotel is situated right on a busy main road. I had to close the wooden shutters to keep the traffic noise out, which wasn't great because the room was already rather stuffy. The view from the room was just the road and a huge railway viaduct.
The lady at breakfast was rather dour, a smile seemed to be too much trouble. Breakfast is only a la carte, there was no buffet.
