Clean, good air conditioning, affordable price, close to city centre
My only complaint was that the bathroom drain was on the opposite end of the bathroom tucked behind the toilet which meant that the bathroom floor was all wet and I had to use wiper for every time I took a shower to remove the water from the floor.

May’s House is a very budget-friendly place in a good location, and overall it was a decent stay.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, with excellent communication before and during the stay. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable, although an extra pillow would have been nice. Breakfast was tasty, but you do need to pre-order both the items and the time you want to eat, so it’s not ideal if you like to sleep in or be flexible in the morning.
Overall, it’s a very cheap place to stay with a convenient location and kind staff, but the facilities are quite basic.
There are a few things to be aware of. The property is quite a long way up steep stairs, which could be difficult if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. There’s no safety box in the room. The bathroom is a combined shower and toilet, so water tends to get everywhere when you shower. Also, you have to remove your shoes at the lobby entrance and wear the provided slippers, which were a bit worn and not the most appealing.
