Grand Sierra Resort is a wonderful property with a host of amenities that can keep any guest entertained for the duration of their stay! Movie theater, skating rink, bowling, arcade, escape room, axe throwing... and so much more! With regards to this specific booking, there was no listing that I saw on the posting that there was going to be more charges upon check out - resort fees and other taxes the hotel and state charged. On top of what I paid on VRBO, I added about another $100. Not disclosing ALL charges is dishonest, and I'm disappointed in VRBO and the owner for not being forthcoming about payment information. The room wasn't ready for check in when we arrived at 5 PM - check in time was at 3 - I paid for a room that was supposed to be ready by 3 PM check in. We waited and wandered in a smoke filled lobby (not used to it since we have a smoke-free environment in San Francisco). The front desk gave me a $25 compensation for the delay after asking for some recompense since I was not pleased at all by the turn of events. I would be weary about booking with this owner and VRBO in the future. Truly upset by having to add the extra funds on something I thought was already paid for outright prior to arriving.
