The location was alright,about 15 minutes from St Augustine. The condo had something’s that needed fixed like the bench and table that was poolside it was all rusted and couldn’t be sit on, the tile floor in the kitchen area was broke and the pots and pans were old and stained

This was a very peaceful stay. The location of being right next to the pool was wonderful! The bed was super comfortable also! It is a cozy condo however but perfect for just 2 people.

Loved the location! Stayed at Beachers last year but not poolside and right at the beach. Everything in the condo was as described in the listing and was clean & comfortable! Dog friendly restaurant s were nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at Beachers lodge before but not poolside. I loved the access to the pool right off the room. Could of used a really good deep clean but all in all I really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy and plenty of room to move around. Close to restaurants and the ice cream shop which we went every night! Will be back!

good for what we wanted !
It was a great place ! The pool closes at 8 PM, which is both good and bad; The air conditioners are loud, but aren't they always ? Little things like the ceiling fan chain was missing so I couldn't turn it off, the light in the fan in the bedroom was burnt out, and I had no idea how to replace it, and looked like a non-standard bulb anyway; and towels aren't included, there isn't a money changer in the laundry and being a holiday, the banks were closed so we had to make do with one set of towels for a week. Other than that, a great place to stay !

Ocean front on pool deck
Wonderful location and being on pool deck is perfect for kids. Good restaurants nearby and the best pizza right across the street!
Bring your own toilet paper, trash bags and extra towels as the hotel does not supply the room, you only have what's in the unit when you arrive.

We stayed here for a week in April with our two kids. We loved the property--right on the beach, we loved the ground-floor access to the pool (great for children). If we returned to St. Augustine, we would consider returning to Beacher's Lodge, but we would not return to this unit itself. The photos make it look a lot nicer than it is. The sheets and towels were nice, but kitchen was very poorly stocked. Would be fine if you planned on eating out most of the time, but it was very hard to cook because the frying pans were terrible and it was lacking in lots of utensils. It would be manageable for a couple, but I wouldn't recommend for a family with kids.
Also, although laid out in the rental agreement, I think it's crazy that they hardly give you any toilet paper, soap, paper towel, etc. and you are expected to buy your own. (I don't know if this is more common on VRBO, because we have mostly used (different), but we have never been expected to buy our own before. We have a rental and would never expect guests to travel with or have to buy toilet paper). There was also nothing to wash the dishes with or a dishcloth, until we asked.
Also, I think besides the kitchen, some money could be invested back into the property to provide some "extras." If you are driving here and have space to bring beach towels, chairs, sand toys, etc. then you would be fine (we did bring all of this), but if we were flying down, we would pick a place that was stocked.
The place was not super well cleaned (floor turned barefeet black immediately, found crackers on the floor, unwashed dishes back in the cupboard, hair down the drain, two cockroaches, etc). I did ask about the floor and they insisted it had been washed. Please note that I have pretty high cleanliness standards, and if you don't, then you probably wouldn't be as bothered. The bathroom was clean, sheets clean, carpet in bedroom vacuumed, so it wasn't awful.
The internet did not work very well at all. When we emailed the rental company they told us to "call the 800 number of the HOA" which was nowhere in our paperwork and then when we followed up, they suggested we "reset our devices." The internet problem meant the TV never worked either, but we didn't really intend on watching it, so it wasn't an issue for us, but if that was important to you, it might be frustrating.
I'm sorry if it seems like I am complaining a lot, but I want to provide an honest review. Would recommend the condo for sure.

Needs a good cleaning. Patio door lock is broken with a pole to keep it closed.
Ok to stay just a week but we stayed a month. Not enjoyable. The washer near us was broke the whole time we were there. We ended up finding a laundromat.

DO NOT RENT
We rented for 5 nights. Out of the 5 nights 3 the ac wall unit in the living room did NOT work, this is the area where the sofa bed is located. The wall unit in the MB had to over compensate for the other unit that didn't help at all and would stop working. We contacted Mgmt and were told someone would be out to look at the unit. Noone contacted us to notify that they had looked at the same. When I called the emergency number we were told that the unit would need to be replaced and it won't be done until after our stay. I tried calling Sandy several times once the office opened on Monday and she told me she would call me back, that never happened. I called again from a different phone number and spoke with Marty, utterly rude individual, who told us we needed to wait for them to investigate and that the unit is currently not being rented due to the building being remodeled. After all this he gave me the wrong email address for him and all. Again tried contacting them to see what resolution can be done, AGAIN DODGING my phone calls had to call from my office number for them to answer. Their solution was 1/3 reimbursement of one night's stay. They didn't care that one of us was sleeping in a room hotter than 78 at night due to their negligence. Beware if you decide to rent. We didn't even complain of the musty smell and crust carpet in the master bedroom. Would never rent from them again and will inform BBB.

The unit is nice enough. Very close to the beach and the pool, so lots of foot traffic by your patio door. The pool was cleaned every day. Would definitely consider staying here again. Maybe in the off season too.

The location is great was wonderful being close to the pool and great views lovely stretch of beach. Ample bedding very small rooms definitely not comfortable for more than two adults. Also not spacious for larger body-types. It was perfectly acceptable for us as we wanted to be out most of the time.

Please fix the sliding door
The property was great minus the sliding door. We loved our stay, but we hope they finally take the time and money to fix the sliding door.

Pros: The view was great and it was a short walk to the beach.! The property was available when others were booked up. Check in was easy and it had keyless entry.
Cons: The biggest cons are the unwelcome surprises. Follow this to avoid them and make a decision on if this property is for you. First, the property was listed at $xxx per night but after fees, including a large surprise fee that came directly from VBRO the room totaled $xxx per night (VBRO would not post my review with specific pricing but it doubled after fees). In hind sight I would have preferred to stay at a nice hotel on a near by beach. Next, the contract, make sure you request it BEFORE you submit your payment, which is non-refundable. It is a few pages long and has some odd items in it such as unannounced inspections, and things not to do or else you will be charged more fees. This should be part of your decision on if this is the property for you.
Finally, the facility feels old and the neighborhood is low income.
