The Metropole sits right in the city of Split and takes just a couple minutes to any restaurant in the center. It was clean and and the staff was helpful as well. We encountered a problem with the toilet seat in our room which was fixed very fast. So I can totally recommend!
There are a couple stairs up to the Metropole floor. To keep in mind. :)

The location. Absolutely bang in the middle. Extremely safe also. Room was clean. Small fridge at bedside also. WiFi quick also. Would stay again.
For those of a reduced mobility. It’s a long climb up a lot of stairs. There’s no lift as it’s an op listed building. Only one key card per room which can be a bit of an annoyance. That’s the only gripe.

Location was good near to old town, supper market, cafes near by
Very very small room, if you have luggage you can not even walk in the room , No balcony, AC not working properly, apartment on 4th floor no elevator
