Monteigas is beautiful and this hotel is located in a perfect location in Monteigas, it is very close to everything you need in this area. The hotel itself is really nice and modern. The staff is polite and helpful. Rooms are comfy with an amazing view.
The only thing that I didn't like much during my stay is shower/bathroom. First of all, the shower itself is a bit simple and primitive, as for such hotel (no rain head, and instead a small regular shower head), also a tempreture of the water in the shower jumps all the time from cold to hot, so you can't fully relax while taking it and that's the main complaint in my feedback. Also there is no bidet in the toilet, which for such level of hotels is a bit unusual, as for me, but not a huge deal

Very friendly staff. Hotel in good conditions and well maintained. Nice place to rest and recover. Good breakfast, with several options. Indoor pool is a bit small (especially for a hotel with a lot of families/kids - Vila Gale are known for being a family oriented chain) but still a good experience. Nice sauna. Located very close to the valley that is a beautiful part of Portugal. Live up to my expectation.
Nothing.

It had a parking garage (but we had to pay for it) and the room was comfortable once we got another key to keep the power on! Until then, the room was so cold. The hotel staff were very helpful and nice. The breakfast buffet was good. The girl that made the eggs was very sweet and made a great omelette.
We had no idea that dinner meals were buffet only - a total waste for us as we are not big eaters. This should have been on the hotel description. Payment was required up front (very expensive!) - no other option for dinner. The food was just okay. Didn’t realize it was a family situation with dozens of kids running around and screaming all day. One boy even rode a scooter throughout the hotel - even in the dining room. So annoying! To use the pool you had to wear a bathing cap. Seriously? I think there are worse things people put into a pool than head hair (think pee and poop). I know there are not a lot of options in the mountains but it felt like a rip off because you are a captive audience.
