Hotel Maya Bell

The place is in the jungle, inside the heritage protected forest, and a short drive from the entrance to the archaeological area of Palenque. The hotel has cabins that look like mayan bungalows, but inside they have all the comforts of the best hotel rooms. The forest around the hotel is full of huge trees, flowers, and even black monkeys. They have a great pool, restaurant and bar !!! We loved our stay at MayaBell

The wifi in our bungalow didnt work well, but the wifi inside the lobby and restaurant it was perfect.

It’s in the natural reserve, the access to Palenque Archaeological site is very easy. Even walking distance. The restaurant is nice, the cabins weee perfect and the personnel very nice. Highly recommended for bird watching and people who want to stay close to Palenque site.

Beautiful location, in the jungle close to Palenque ruins. Howler monkeys and toucans all around Good restaurant.

Some front desk employees, and waitresses were unfriendly.

Beautiful property, well maintained gardens and beautifully decorated dining rooms. Pizza was delicious. Domingo was the best!! King bed in Room #1 was fantastic.

We had to move rooms 3 times. So we stayed in 4 difference rooms because of problems. First with the bed situation (one full bed downstairs, and another full bed up in a hot loft, for the two of us as a married couple it was not a good set up). The Second room had no AC and a noisy fan plus 2 full beds side by side this time, but still not what we wanted), third room was part of their new addition but the AC broke so we had to move to a fourth room which was really nice. No room for luggage and only like 4 hangers in the closet. Food was marginal and pretty high priced. Plus you are IN the Parque so in the morning you have to walk 2.5 km back out to the entrance to buy your tickets. There’s no shuttle or any vehicles to help you get out to the entrance to buy your tickets. Then you have to walk back. You might be able to catch a Colectivo bus/van but that’s not for everyone. We wouldn’t stay there again. Lots of other options.
