Situated in Dennis Port, this attractive cottage for $350 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, single story home has a large front yard with an outdoor shower and is ½ mile walking distance to the beach! (exit 9A – mid-Cape). Great for a big family (four-legged friends welcome, too!) the “Blue Heron,” comfortably sleeps 6-8 people: bedroom 1 has 2 twin beds; bedroom 2 has 1 full sized bed & 1 twin; bedroom 3 has a queen bed & one twin. Not only a quick walk to the beach, the house is also conveniently located in Dennis Port center with endless shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, and the Cape’s best happy hours at your fingertips - to name a few: The Oyster Company, Original Seafood, The Red Nun, Sundae School, the famous, seaside Ocean House Tiki Bar… no need to drive anywhere! This house fully equipped with a gas grill for BBQ activities, kitchen full with pots, pans, plates, bowls, & serving platters – you name it, it’s here! Very clean and neat. Plenty of open room to have multiple people hanging around for conversation. Nice deck in the front with plenty of yard space. Best thing was we were able to bring our dog and there was a dog run.

We had 2 couples stay here for a wedding at The Lighthouse Inn. The house was clean, well stocked, well laid out, comfortable and convenient to sa many things. My only complaint is we didn’t have a longer stay to enjoy the place for longer.

Had a great stay @ The Blue Heron. It is a great house, my family had a relaxing week of beaches, boating, shopping and dining out @ some incredible local restaurants.

Another great vacation at the Blue Heron! Perfect spot for our family. Walking distance to beach( although driving with all beach stuff easier). Close to restaurants, activities and groceries. The Blue Heron is very comfortable for families and has everything you need to cook in.

Very nice house in Dennisport.
This property was clean and very well maintained. It is a corner lot so can be a little tricky to find initially. The house is spacious with a beautiful yard to play and relax in. Beach chairs and toys and bikes are not provided so this added additional luggage. The beaches within walking distance are very small. The town center is very small and offers little. This property is very nice. The location is not the best.

The Blue Heron does not disappoint. It has adorable beach-themed decor, comfortable beds, a wonderful outdoor shower and plenty of room for eight guests. Having two full baths was a definite bonus. The listing is very accurate and the owner Kevin was responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend renting the Blue Heron for a great stay on the Cape. The home is located near many restaurants and beaches and the owner provides a detailed power point document prior to your stay loaded with information about the area. The home is on a corner lot, but the street was remarkably quiet. Although I did not travel with my dogs on this trip, I am a dog owner and I would consider renting this property in the future. I would suggest perhaps fencing in a section of the side, front yard for future guests who may rent the property and bring their dog(s) or young children along. I often vacation with my dogs and love to rent properties with a fenced in yard for safety and peace of mind while traveling. If you love the Dennis/Dennisport area, I would recommend this rental! Cross the street to the fabulous Auntie's Ice Cream Parlor and other shops and eateries along Main Street. Kevin and his son were easy to communicate with, promptly answered any questions we had, and were all great hosts. We loved our stay and would gladly return next summer.

The house was wonderfully clean & welcoming. Kitchen supremely well stocked with everything one could need, there was even a quart of real maple syrup in the pantry, not that awful fake stuff.
Communicating with Kevin, the host, was very easy. He quickly answered all our questions. Check in was a breeze.
Queen bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable but the other beds less so. They would be fine for kids, I guess.
The one surprise was being asked to wash, dry, fold & restock the towels we used before checking out. If we failed to do this, we would have been charged an additional fee. This was our 7th or 8th rental through vrbo & the first time we had to launder household towels. As there were just two of us, it was only one load but it could be a problem for a larger family. That is the only reason for giving the property 4 instead of 5 stars.

Nice attention to detail
This is a very well-maintained property with excellent attention to detail. I really appreciate the owner stocking toilet paper, cleaning supplies and even an extra toothbrush and bandaids. We also appreciated the dog run.

Great location! We were able to park our care on arrival and walk to just about anything! The house was perfect for my Family. If you visit Rory’s Market is the best for last minute dinner items, smoothies and cold brew.

We have been going to the Cape, if you count my better half, for over 40 years. So, we truly have seen a lot of different properties and are being completely honest to note the Heron is a real cut above. The pictures here are a bit out of date, there appear to have been even further improvement to the property. Some are exterior, like the blue cut out shutters, creating a real cape charming cottage appeal. It seems there have been interior updates as well, or at least we didn’t expect the interior to be such a lovely combination of state of the art and Cape Cod charm.
We travelled in early June, and the way the house was situated allows for the lovely Cape breezes. The TVs (there is one in the master now too) and Internet were solid. The house contains so many thoughtful touches, even my husband commented. There were just the two of us but the exceptional floor plan has me envisioning returning with my elderly parents and thirty something children. This is a house that seems designed for hosting family, and/or good friends, a long-standing tradition in our family.
The house sits on the back of the property, surrounded by hedges providing lovely privacy. And, the large front yard makes the street seem quite far away. The neighborhood was quiet but friendly. During late afternoon walks with the hound, cars stopped to wave us across the street and other walkers stopped us to pet the floofer.
We just missed the hydrangeas, which surround the cottage in bloom. But we loved sitting on the porch, steaks on the grill, a glass of wine in hand, listing to the birds and watching the amazing sunsets. Centrally located, after days visiting P-town, shopping in nearby Chatham and visiting the many local beaches—just a perfect ending to the sun and salt air filled day.

This place will meet More then your expectations
This place is absolutely gorgeous prime location near everything. When we got there everything was absolutely clean. The blue heron fit all our needs, We were very pleased with our stay. We can not wait to book again for next year who knows we might even book this winter

The cottage was not cleaned to the standards I'm used to. Especially with COVID. I addressed my concerns with Kevin. When leaving the cottage I used his vacuum cleaner, which would be more efficient if the cleaner just cleaned out the bag.

Dennisport Dream!
We fell in love with this home! It is centrally located, beautifully appointed and meticulously maintained. The outdoor shower is dreamy, the kitchen well stocked and the open concept living space is very comfortable and conducive to conversation. The owner was communicative and responsive. We would love to come back again and highly recommend this home when visiting the mid Cape.
