Beautiful location and the highlight of the Croatia road-trip portion. Rastoke and Slunj were absolutely worth staying in rather than treating Plitvice as just a drive-through stop. Peaceful, scenic, and much more memorable than we expected, with a great base for visiting Plitvice Entrance 2 the next morning.
Cash-only payment and the early check-out window are worth planning around, but neither spoiled the stay.

Location was excellent and absolutely loved the village of Rastoke. The owner seemed friendly, not much English, but I had even less Croatian! House really dated, which at 1st we didn't like, but the whole town is really old. We didn't use any kitchen facilities, but they were all there. Also has a washing machine you can use for €5 (pretty mouldy around the rim, so I didn't risk it). Shower was great. Has a window in the bathroom that opens out onto the stream- absolutely gorgeous, especially in the morning and night when the sun isn't beaming in! She offered breakfast for €10, but we were leaving early, so didn't take her up on that.
Just how outdated everything was. You couldn't tell if it was clean or not cos everything was so old, but it actually was quite OK in the end.

Location molto gradevole, con possibilità di fare un bagno direttamente dall’appartamento (acqua bassa e molto fredda).
Si trova proprio nel centro di Rastoke, possibilità di parcheggio gratuito proprio davanti a casa. Camera abbastanza pulita, con asciugamani a disposizione.
Credo non valga la pena risiedere nel centro di Rastoke, è turistico e non c’è quasi niente. I pochi ristoranti/bistro hanno prezzi allucinanti rispetto ai dintorni, quindi sicuramente consiglio di spostarsi per pranzo/cena.
Camera mediocre, molto piccola, pulizia normale, letto molto molto scomodo, bagno comune tenuto non troppo bene (anche se ovviamente questo dipende soprattutto dagli altri ospiti).
