Located in Capistrano Beach, this lovely house for $804 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to 5-star luxury. This newly remodeled stunning 3-bedroom/2 bath beach house is situated on a restricted private beach within a gated beach front community. This home features spectacular panoramic ocean views throughout the house. Wake up each morning to the refreshing ocean breeze and the soft sound of the waves in your private backyard beach. It does not get much better than this. *Before reading further, please note we have a VERY strict no pet policy. No pets permitted on or about the property at any time. Please do not inquire if you are bringing an animal. No exceptions will be made. We appreciate your understanding* The beach house is one half of a duplex with a total of 1000 sf of living space. The lower level features one full tub/shower bathroom, one bedroom with a queen-size bed , and an open-concept living room/kitchen with direct beach access from our own private patio. The upper level features a 2nd full shower bathroom, master bedroom with a king-size bed and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, along with a 3rd bedroom that has two sets of bunk beds (can sleep up to 4). The entire house can accommodate up to a max of 8 people including guests. The driveway can fit only two cars parked tandem. This beach house is designed to provide you with all the essentials of a well stocked home. Cooking is made possible in this fully stocked kitchen! The kitchen provides an assortment of cookware and kitchen staples such as spices, condiments, oils, sugar, and coffee. *All items provided, serve as a starter kit, depending on your stay you mighty need to purchase additional items at the local store. Entertainment made possible in the open concept living room! The beach house has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room/kitchen and patio. Enjoy breathtaking views while entertaining with family and friends. The living room and master bedroom boast a flat screen TV and DVD player. The beach directly in front of the house is your own private beach, not shared with anyone else. The private patio is fully furnished, stocked with a BBQ, patio table to enjoy dinner under the stars, and a comfortable seating area. **Due to the changes with the sand levels and the ocean. The waves have shifted the sand level and now a ladder is needed to access the beach. For those that are not comfortable with the use of stairs about 30 yards to the north there is a vacant lot that has direct access without the use of the stairs. The beach front changes daily alternating between rocky and sandy. House Rules: We apologize but we do not accept pets. PLEASE NOTE this is NOT a party house. The house is located in a quiet beachfront residential community. The neighbors on both sides of the house live there permanently and we want to respect them. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this would not be the home for you. However if you are looking for a quiet retreat to enjoy with family or friends this would be the perfect vacation destination. The entire property is non-smoking and we kindly ask guests who do smoke, please do so away from the house. We had a wonderful time at this Capo Beach House. Paul the property manager was helpful and friendly. The kitchen is well appointed, the decor is beachy, and the primary bedroom is spacious. Overall, great stay!

This property is in a gated community, the beach front is beautiful. The duplex has all the amenities of home. We had family in and we all enjoyed the property and location. Stores and eateries nearby. But drive into Dana Point cute beach town. Hope to be back soon.

The home is beautiful, cozy, and perfectly appointed with everything we needed to relax, prepare meals, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets with the waves crashing right in front. Location couldn’t be better. There’s always something to do! We even got a chance to watch Big Wednesday, filmed in Dana Point!

Overall we had a wonderful time. The house was clean, not perfect. There was a noticable "grit" on the floor (I know, it's the beach), some of the dishes were sticky, and there was sand in-between the sheets on one of the bunk beds. The listing says accommodates 8, and it could, however, there were only 3 beach towels, 2 hand towels, and 4 wash cloths... leaving some of us without. Had the listing said to bring our own towels, I would have. And not that I would have used them, but the listing said there were robes & slippers and there were not. The silverware was very cheap. I understand it's a rental but when the listing called it a luxury getaway, I invisioned nicer things. Last complaint would be that the listing makes it appear to be a soft sandy beach right over the little retaining wall. It is a VERY rocky/pebbly beach and now has a wooden staircase to access the beach. If you've ever been to or seen the beach in Nice, France, it would remind you of that. SO, while we did have a great time I would recommend some things to improve your stay: bring towels (beach, hand, wash cloth, kitchen), cooking oil and seasoning, house shoes, water shoes, beach chairs, trash bags, & paper towels. Positives were the beds were very comfortable w/ nice sheets, I slept like a rock. There were enough fans, everyone had one in their room. Great supply of cookware & utensils. The owners were SUPER nice & super responsive. There is a sandbox on the deck the kids LOVED.

This is a wonderful home that has everything you need. But the real selling point is the location. The ocean feels like a part of the home as the waves come right to the deck at high tide. Yuri is a very responsive host. She even brought me chocolates for an early Father’s Day present. I was touched by her thoughtfulness. We will absolutely book a return stay.

Private Beach
Great for a somewhat affordable private beach property stay. Amenities are underwhelming within the property itself compared to the photos, but the gated community is quaint and staff are friendly. Owner/manager are very prompt in responding to questions.

Amazing
We are a family of 4 that vacationed with another family of 4 and this was the perfect beach house in the best location with the nicest hosts!! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend!!!

Beachfront getaway
The owner Yuri was extremely friendly; she made thoughtful suggestions for our stay. Excellent location. Beautiful ocean-front. Expect ‘beach-front sea-side cottage’ feel—sound of waves (moderately loud on high tide) on the patio. Just keep in mind that Capo Beach has considerable erosion so need a ladder from ocean-front patio to the narrow rocky & Sandy beach; property is a bit aged (although bathrooms & kitchen are reno’d); size perfect for 3 or 4.; well stocked with all you need (just need to look around). Very much enjoyed our stay; hope to come back and thanks to Yuri again!!

We have stayed in much nicer facilities that were steps from the beach, just not on the sand. Some of the challenges we endured, as I think it will be helpful to families who are considering this property.
1. It would be helpful if the owner would provide a list of some of the unique features. For example, light switches are not located in "typical" locations and take time to figure out.
2. Most of the security guards we encountered were very friendly. We had a VERY rude security guard at the front gate, who was on duty on a Wednesday at 7:30a,m.
3. The neighbors on the south side had teenagers that played their music so loud it was shaking the house. They were smoking pot/cigarettes in plain view, loud and obnoxious. A bit uncomfortable when you have young children.
4. This is a duplex and the owner was there for a few days. This did not bother us, but it's a good thing to know in case it is awkward for anyone.
5. The laundry room is not inside the unit. It is located outside, in a shed that is oddly designed. Washer is on one side of shed and the dryer is on opposite side (you have to walk around the outside of the shed to get from one side to the other).
6. The interior was upgraded, which is cute. Mostly very low quality upgrades. It was functional. I am a visual person who loves architecture and interior design. Mostly not of importance, except one of the pictures in the downstairs guest suite just fell of the wall, unprovoked. When I went to put it back up, I realized the walls are plaster and they had not properly hung the picture. The pic had sharp edges!
7. The cable television upstairs did not work properly, which was ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!
8. The outside grill was DISGUSTING and did not function properly. The catch under the grill was full & had not been cleaned.
9. Owner was friendly and kind, but assumed my kids took a lock that her kids had. Just weird. She apologized.
10. We were 30 min late exiting (partly because I wanted to fix the stupid pic that fell) and the mgr was quick to reprimand us for that.
Hope this helps others when evaluating.

In my more than 20 years of vacation rentals, I rank this beautiful property among the very best! The location is ideal: ocean front with picturesque views from nearly every room! The decor is exquisite. The kitchen is well stocked. Amenities galore. And Miriam, the property manager, is so attentive and helpful! We'll be back! Again! And again!

Train tracks close by and you can hear the trains but at night the tide is high with waves crashing outside the upstairs master bedroom . The waves are so wonderfully powerful the trains blend in . Remarkably almost a no -issue.

Birthday vacation!
My sister wanted a beach vacation for her birthday... this home was the perfect spot to make that happen. It’s right on the sand. We enjoyed listening to the waves and the sunsets were spectacular!!!! Loved this place!!!

Girls Weekend with Dad
Location was execellent. View was specatucular. The size was perfect for 4 adults. We walked to San Clemente pier one day and Dana Point Harbor another day. Good long walks!
You can hear trains from back bedrooms, but fortunately they don't run too frequently. Property is not geared towards people with mobility issues (no shower bar). Comment is not a negative, but an observation in the event you are considering bringing someone who has mobility issues.
