It was fun, clean and in a great location. I thought the concept of it being unstaffed seemed odd but it worked really well. I’d highly recommend - provided you are ok with stairs. The cafe underneath was fabulous too.
The rooms we were in were small but worked well if you wanted to be out and about during the day. Bigger room are also available

Great location, it was nice to have a small fridge, we didn’t meet any staff except a very friendly woman who we saw working in the hotel and in the cafe below
It seemed like an Air BnB masquerading as a hotel, have not come across a completely remotely managed hotel in Britain before.
The room was fine, it would have been nice to have an easy chair to relax in, the hanging wardrobe was fiddly to arrange hangers when loaded with clothes and a lamp on both sides of the bed would have been very useful, the wall lights were too bright to read by when in bed and required one of us to hop out of bed to switch off.
Finally, the shower water flow and the flow in the taps was poor, the shower water was too tepid and the temp couldn’t be increased.

Brighter light in bathroom but that's what we miss in most holiday accommodation whether uk or europe.

The location was excellent ideally located for all of the attractions
The room was very small more like a single room rather than a double. We left after 2 night rather than the 3 nights we had paid for . We were offered a different room for the remainder of our stay at extra cost £ 85. For 2 nights but decided not to except it . Long way to travel for 1 night . ( CHECK YOUR ROOM BEFORE VISITING).
