Location.
Shower head didn’t work properly, seems like an easy fix. Sets a bad tone when freshening up after travel.

Super friendly and helpful host! I felt very safe and comfortable as a solo female traveller. Spacious room and aircon was very welcome in the sweltering heat. Cold bottles of water in the fridge were appreciated. Don't expect much water pressure in the shower - it is Rome, but the water is certainly hot! Close to so many great spots, from great resturants to shopping and of course the fountain. If like me, you struggle with mobility, the stairs are doable as wide and good handrails, a dogleg stone staircase.
I struggled to find the hotel, not knowing Rome, I was looking for more of a 'hotel sign', but actually the hotel is through small brown doors. There is a sign, but a small brass one, easily missable in the magic of the street - plus on this occassion the doors were open so the biggest hint to future visitors is to look for the pink bouganvilla! I wish I had know as I spent 30 minutes up and down the cobblestone with my stick. Sadly, asking a security guard and a waitress for help, even in broken Italian, only got me waved away in irritation. Not a reflection on the hotel of course!
Mattress a little uncomfortable for me, could perhaps benefit from a foam topper.
