About this house rental
Nestled in Devils Lake, this lovely house for $445 per night is a great choice for your next break. Watavue Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' The Watavue Main House and Watavue Guest Cottage are connected by a deck with a hot tub, gas BBQ, gas firepit, and warm water outdoor shower, plus DirecTV and WiFi. Wecoma Creekside is a few steps away next door (connected to Watavue by a large grassy backyard) and can be rented along with Watavue for larger groups. You will have full use of three beach house buildings, including the Watavue Main House, the Watavue Guest Cottage, and the Wecoma Creekside Beach House, nestled together on the beachfront road with ocean views directly across from a gently sloping beach with access to seven miles of sandy shoreline. You will be located just fifty feet from the Wecoma Beach access with a gently sloping walk down to seven miles of pristine sand. Additionally, this home is close to Roads End, a popular surfing area, Cascade Head for hiking, Devils Lake for boating activities, golf courses, excellent restaurants, beautiful galleries, and more! Plus, the Lincoln City Outlets are just under three miles from your front door for a day of shopping at familiar shops! The Watavue Main House offers a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and library. Enjoy a cozy stay at the beach with gas fireplaces in the library and 'Moon Room' bedroom, plus a cast iron/soapstone 'heat sink' wood stove in the living room. The Watavue Guest Cottage offers one bedroom, a sleeping loft, one bathroom, and a kitchenette. Things to Know Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Located right across the street from beach access, this property is ideal for large groups wanting to walk to the beach often. We stayed 5 days with our adult children and young grandkids. The house is not ideal for toddlers, so we had to do some makeshift child proofing and provide our own pack and play crib. The beds were not super comfortable, but we all enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of dishwasher soap, laundry soap and towels provided. Everything was clean and the dishes were very nice. All 10 of us could sit together at the table or relax together outside. The outdoor hot shower and hot tub were very relaxing after playing day after day at the beach.

Perfect location and lots of space!
We originally were booked with another home but were switched last minute to stay here. I was disappointed about the change at first, but the moment we stepped foot inside Watavue, I was so impressed! Our group consisted of 7 adults which all were very happy with the space for privacy, the big back yard, and the hot tub. Lots of memories were created in this home and we definitely want to stay at this property again!

The only negative that I would mention is that the bathroom door in the little annex locked you in unless you could figure it out, probably not good if someone was staying there alone. We loved our stay!! Thank you! We will probably come again.

This 1923 cottage has still retained its original footprint while experiencing many additions, conversions and upgrades, has not become a McMansion. The whimsical sculptures in all of the rooms and the yard set the right tone for a playful time a the beach.

I booked this property for my family reunion. We could not have imagined, what we would show up to. A beautiful home, completely filled with not only the amenities to create an amazing dinner for 10+ people, but games, comfortable and beautiful rooms, each with a view, and then to wake up, and find rain boots and rain gear of all sizes, we all got dressed and walked to the ocean which took us a total of 2 minutes to arrive to. We could not have dreamt of more. We loved it so much, we returned in summer and did not need the gear they so graciously provided, but spent every night laughing and happy and chatting in the hot tub, walked on the beach every morning, and cooked amazing dinners together as a family that we were able to enjoy at the huge table seating of 14. We could not have created these memories without this particular home that felt personally designed with love to provide us with all the room, amenities, and extras to turn our weekend into the most amazing heartfelt experience any of us has ever had. We sang karaoke, we shared a beautiful dinner, we walked the beach, we visited the city, we relaxed in the hot tub, we paused for a moment, in our busy lives, and we focused on the people we love, and for that, we are most grateful. Thank you, for sharing your beautiful home, so we could build a beautiful memory!

We heard from friends how great the place is, however when we arrived it exceeded our expectations. A lot of love was put to create such a cozy place. Each bedroom has its own theme! We loved the breathtaking view of the ocean from almost every window!! Also, the kitchen is totally impressive with a convenience of very nice appliances and BIG dining table. And of course, a fire pit and hot tub sealed the deal!!We spent unforgettable time there !

What a great find! The house is perfect for a few but can comfortably accommodate larger groups as well. Perfectly located near downtown and just across the street from the beach. The ocean view from living room and dining room is spectacular. The bedrooms are very comfortable, great kitchen and a dining room that is truly the center of it all. The large outdoor space makes this a perfect place all year around. The large deck with hot tub is a treat!! Definitely one to keep on the list and return to.

Great place for family
What a unique place with tons of character! We really enjoyed the extensive library and the well-equipped kitchen. It was great to watch the waves from the living room and from the upstairs front bedroom. So much room and the bathrooms were lovely, too.

Friendsgiving Get Together!
A couple of my friends and I came to spend a Friendsgiving together and the home is beautiful! The kitchen is amazing, has so many utensils. The bathrooms were nice and the towel warmers is something I’ve never had and I loved them! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Having the beach right across the street was a big plus! Only issues we had was the fireplace didn’t work well, the jacuzzi broke down on us one night (we managed to get it on the next day) and a lot of the light switches didn’t work. These are easy fix I hope!

I have stayed at several beach houses over the years at the Oregon coast, but my time at Watavue stands above the rest. On this particular trip we were in a large group, but the spacious location was the perfect fit! The kitchen was fantastic, and the huge dining room table for group dinners was amazing. Bathrooms were incredibly cool as well, which is a major point for me. Our group had plenty
of room to spread out over three days as well. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed which is another often negative point with beach rentals, but not at Watavue. There was plenty of safe parking for our group too. I can`t recommend Watavue highly enough!

Great house. Loved the industrial kitchen setup, it was fantastic for cooking. And the beach access across the street was perfect.

Not as advertised
Pricy home in good location. We rented it for a work-cation, planning to use a comfortable environment to get a lot of work done. Advertisement was for "internet", "wifi router" in the house. None of that was present. No reception, no internet. No apology yet, nor plan how to make us whole after having paid a lot of money for a very suboptimal outcome. Will have to seek legal action it seems. Sad!

Watavue is an awesome house to enjoy with a small or large group. The layout of the house provides many spaces for privacy and great places to gather and enjoy meals, singing, conversations, and more. It is a joy to cook in such a well-equipped kitchen. This house is beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable for every person. I love the unique details of each room, the library, and the window seat. The outdoor area is spacious, relaxing, and it includes a hot tub. It is so easy to enjoy the ocean from many areas of the house and if I need to work, I enjoy the room after’s with the desk and a direct view of the ocean. Being just a few steps from the beach it guarantees enjoyment of sunrises and sunsets. It is a home away from home!

Best 80th Birthday celebration
Watavue was spectacular! We had 10 people sleep very comfortable in the house and had room to spare. Our mother turned 80 and we needed a place for all of us to stay. This place was the perfect location and had lots of charm. Love the history behind the house too! We will be back! Thank you to Watavue and Wacoma Properties for an amazing weekend with family!!
